What is Night Lase
Night Lase Treatment is a fast, non-invasive and friendly way of increasing the quality of a patient’s sleep. It lessens the effects of sleep apnea and decreases the amplitude of snoring through the use of gentle, superficial Er:Yag laser light. No anesthesia is used in this treatment.
How does Night Lase work?
During Night Lase treatment laser light heats the tissue, causing tightening of the tissue which leads to an attenuation of sound of the patients snoring and lessening the effects of sleep apnea. The procedure is performed in tow simple steps:
- Step 1: Preconditioning: The laser light preheats the tissue.
- Step 2: Tissue strengthening: Laser light strengthens the tissue.
A full course of Night Lase is comprised of three separate sessions over a six week period. The final result of the treatment has been shown to last for up to a year.
Simple and virtually painless
Night Lase has an extremely high success rate in producing a positive change in sleep patterns. Research has shown that Night Lase reduces and attenuates snoring and provides an effect, non-invasive way to lessen the effects of sleep apnea. It requires no device to be worn during sleep, no chemical treatment and no anesthesia. It is a gentle and easy way to regain a good night’s rest.
- Anterior Pillar extending to the outer face to the retro molar region and posterior third of the cheek.
- Soft palate and uvula with lower part of hard palate.
- Posterior pillars and tonsils.
- Lateral and bottom of the tongue.
A minimum of three sessions are required. The prices are as follows:
3 x R2 000.00 per session = R6 000.00
Sessions are done on Day 0, Day 30 and Day 45.
*Please note that the Medical Aid only pays for the initial consultation with the doctor, but since it is a cosmetic procedure it will not be paid by the medical aid.
